Should Call of Duty Still Be Released Every Year?

Should Call of Duty Still Be Released Every Year?
Every year a new Call of Duty comes out and every year fans’ expectations are not met. What ends up being released each year is a very similar game with an almost identical experience. Should a new Call of Duty be released every year?
The short answer is no. Call of Duty Should not be released every year because there is not enough innovation in the games from year to year. The multiplayer as an overall experience feels the same and doesn’t really add anything new to get me excited to play it. The single player experience is following the same trend, it’s the same linear gameplay from game to game without much innovation.
Let’s take a look at some stats to back this up. The review scores for the Call of Duty games are decreasing. This shows that gamers are getting burned out by the Call of Duty series.
Sure it started out well with a score of 94 for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. But several years later with a new game being released every year you get scores of 83 and 73 with Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts. There needs to be more innovation in the Call of Duty games or this downward trend will continue.
