4 Things to Look Forward to in Assassin’s Creed III
With the brilliant new Assassin’s Creed III releasing later this month I thought it would be good to talk about some of the cool new features coming to the series. If you’re brand new to the series or are a long time veteran here are 4 Things to Look Forward to in Assassin’s Creed III.
- New Setting
- New Characters
- New Weapons
- New Gameplay
Obviously one of the coolest new things in the game is going to be the new setting. This new setting is in 18th century America. This means you get the chance to roam around a new upcoming America in the midst of the American Revolution.
It’s a really cool idea and certainly some American historical figures are going to be coming into play. It’s going to be interesting to see how far Ubisoft takes the American setting. I think it’s a really refreshing and unique spin on the series and makes it a good spot for newcomers to join the Assassin’s Creed series of games.
Along with the new 18th century American setting comes new major historical figures from the time. George Washington, America’s first president, is going to be a major featured character in the game.
It will be interesting to see how you get to interact with Washington in the game. Also Benjamin Franklin has been confirmed for the game, which should also be interesting for the game.
In Assassin’s Creed III there are going to be a whole bundle of new weapons. So far this includes a Tomahawk, a Bow and Arrow, a One-Shot Pistol, a Musket, a Rope Dart, a Sawtooth Sword, and a Pontiac War Club.
Certainly some refreshing weapons like the Tomahawk and Bow and Arrow are going to be a cool part in the game. These two particular weapons will most likely play an important role in the new hunting in the game.
In the game there are several types of new gameplay that are going to be making an appearance. First off is hunting, which will be a nice feature where you can just go out and hunt anytime. It also makes the game world look more “alive” since there is going to be a decent amount of wild animals running around that you can hunt down.
The second new gameplay feature is naval warfare. You will be able to control an entire ship as you go into naval battles. It’s also been said that you will be able to upgrade your main ship, which is being called “Aquila”.
I think Assassin’s Creed has really taken on a refreshing new setting for itself. It’s got an amazing time period and so many potential story paths it could go down, it just seems like the perfect fit for the game. I can’t wait to see what Ubisoft makes of their new Assassin’s Creed title.
